Disney Channel Begins Work on Descendants 2

A Descendants sequel is coming. Disney Channel has officially reached out to Descendants’ screen writers, Sara Parriott and Josann McGibbon to begin work on Descendants 2.

All of the original cast, including Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Sofia Carson and BooBoo Stewart are expected to return for the DCOM sequel. If all goes well production on the movie should start in 2016 or 2017.

It was also announced that writer, Melissa de la Cruz will pen a second book in the Descendants series called, “Return To The Isle Of The Lost”. It will be released in May 2016.
