New Details Revealed on “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child”
New details on the Harry Potter play gracing the West End’s Palace Theatre next Summer have been released. First detail revealed, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is not a prequel to the hit book series, but rather a sequel.
That’s right, the play will take place after the epilogue scene in Deathly Hallows, 19 years after the gang left Hogwarts. It is being considered the 8th part to the series and will follow Harry and his son, Albus.
Second, details on the actual play were revealed. Harry now works for the Minstry Magic, still dealing with a past that won’t leave him alone, while Albus has to deal with a family legacy he never wanted. The two will have to deal with these problems, as well as the threat of darkness lurking around every corner.
Third, previews start on June 7 and opening night is July 30. To see both parts, theater goers will either have to buy a matinee and evening show or two consecutive evening shows.
I just have one question…WHERE IS MY PREQUEL!? I want a story on the Mauraders, Lily and their years at Hogwarts. I want to know how the Potters defied Voldermort three times. What was it like for the wizard world during Voldermort’s reign. I needs these answered!
