Zayn Malik is The Fader’s newest cover star! The site announced the new today, November 17. They revealed that Zayn sat down for his first one on one interview, since leaving One Direction, with them and it will be posted tonight at 6pm!

In the interview, Zayn talks leaving One Direction, his new music, his last days with the boys and so much more. Highlights can be found below.

On his new music: “I don’t feel like people really know what I’m going to give them, musically,. And once they hear it, I feel like they will understand me a little bit more, and they’ll understand why I did what I did, and why I left the band, and why I had to write this shit down.

Because for five—not even for five years, for ten years, this album has been in my brain, and it’s just been there, sat with me, needing to be out.”

In his behind the scenes video you can hear a snippet of his new song, “Befour”. Though you don’t hear any words, the sound is definitely different than what he put out with 1D.

I wonder if this means that Zayn will be releasing his music soon?!
