Happy Birthday Miley Cyrus!

Happy Birthday to Miley Cyrus! The singer/activist turns 23 years old today, November 23, and what a wild year she has had.

Miley released her free album Miley Cyrus & her Dead Petz over the summer and teamed up with Wayne Coyne and his group the Flaming Lips for their Beatles cover album. She also recorded “Hands of Love” for the film Freeheld.

Miley spent most of her last year launching her Happy Hippie foundation and raising awareness for the LGBTQ community, especially homeless youth. She hosted SNL and performed at James Franco’s charity bar mitzvah for Alzheimer’s disease, in addition to her work with MAC Cosmetics with all the proceeds from her lipsticks going to AIDS fund.

Miley will have a very exciting next year, as well. She appeared in the Seth Rogen holiday comedy The Night Before and will perform in Bill Murray’s Netflix special A Very Murray Christmas next month. Miley is also working on her next album, likely to be released next year.
