One Direction to Officially Break Up in March?

It looks like One Direction’s break may become a permanent break. The boys went on break this past December after wrapping promotions for their new album, Made in the A.M. and assured fans that it was just a break, but that statement may not be entirely true.

US Weekly is reporting that when the boys’ contract comes to an end in March, they will “not renew their recording contract”. A source told the magazine, “The 1D thing just ran its course. They’ll remain friends, but they are exhausted and want solo careers.”

In regards to what the boys will do once the contract is up, Harry will apparently go into acting and a solo career, Liam wants to work behind the scenes producing music, Louis will supposedly focus on being dad and nothing was revealed on Niall.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the boys called it quit this March and then got back together farther down the road, but we shall see. What do you guys think?
