Cole Sprouse Lands Role in CW’s Archie Comics Pilot, Riverdale

Cole Sprouse has landed a new role. Cole has signed on to star as Jughead Jones in CW’s new series, Riverdale.

The show is based off the highly popular Archie comic series. The role of Archie has yet to be cast, but Lili Reinhart has been cast to play Betty Cooper. Betty has a huge crush on Archie in the series and Jughead Jones is Archie’s former best friend, who is still smarting from the rift that took place between the two.

The show will film its pilot this coming Spring. If received well, the show will air on the network during its 2016-2017 TV season.
