Normani Kordei is on the cover of Cliche Magazine. The Fifth Harmony member is on the cover of the magazine’s February/March issue.

In the issue, Normani talks her career, if she ever imagined being where she is now, her role models, a solo career and so much more. Highlights can be found below!

On if she ever imagined being where she is at 19: “I wake up every morning thinking about how drastically my lifestyle has changed and all that I have accomplished thus far. I am 19 years of age, and I never thought that I would have ever lived through as much as I have, being so young.

I have been introduced to many different opportunities and situations that people much older [than me] typically handle. I can say that I’m a lot more prepared for my adult life now than I would have been if I never had this opportunity.

I honestly thought that in this moment in life, I would be in college, not that far away from home, of course. I thought I would still be dreaming of what has now become my reality. I just can’t say it enough: I’m so blessed.”

On her role models and people that influenced her: “I grew up listening to nothing but girl groups. I was influenced by DC, TLC, The Supremes, En Vogue, Spice Girls, 3LW, SWV, Escape, PCD, and Danity Kane. Early on, I appreciated real music. What these women have done for me may be different for someone else. I feel that they have paved the way for women in the music industry today. In their own ways, they were visionaries and innovators.”

On if she wishes to pursue a solo career: “Yes, in the future. In the beginning, we all had intentions of pursuing solo careers. I’m still an individual, as well as the others, meaning we have slightly different visions and aspirations. We have a ton of work [to do] and much more to accomplish as Fifth Harmony before that happens.”
