Dylan O’Brien Severely Injured on The Maze Runner: Death Cure Set

Production has halted on the set of The Maze Runner: Death Cure. Star Dylan O’Brien was severely injured on the set of the movie this past Thursday, March 17 in Vancouver.

Details are scarce, but TMZ is reporting he “suffered multiple broken bones” and was rushed to the hospital for observation and treatment.

Production has stopped on the movie until Dylan recovers. Filming started this past Monday, March 14 and it is the third movie in The Maze Runner franchise. When more information becomes available we will let you know! Our thoughts are with Dylan and the Death Cure team!!

UPDATE: Deadline is reporting FOX is apparently saying that Dylan fell off a piece of set that was supposed to look like the back of a train and fractured either his cheekbone or orbital socket.

UPDATE 2: EW is reporting, “WorkSafe BC, which investigates workplace accidents in British Columbia, said they just became aware of the situation and were looking into the reports that the actor had been struck by a car while shooting a scene. ‘The employer has not yet contacted us. And they’re in violation of [Canada’s] worker’s compensation act if there’s an incident and they didn’t contact us.’”

UPDATE #3: TVLine is reporting, “O’Brien’s injury is not expected to affect production on the upcoming season of Teen Wolf.”
