Maze Runner Director, Wes Ball Releases Statement on Dylan O’Brien
The Maze Runner: Death Cure director, Wes Ball has released a statement in regards to Dylan O’Brien’s injury. Dylan was injured on the set of the movie this past Thursday, March 17 in Vancouver.
Wes released the statement via his Twitter saying, “Well, it’s been a whirlwind of emotions these past few days. I’ve been overwhelmed with feelings of anger and sadness and guilt. But, ultimately I find myself left with a deep love and respect for Dylan. He is one tough cookie.
I’m sorry for the grief this accident has caused his friends and family as well as my wonderful cast and crew. It’s scary seeing your friend get hurt, but fortunately, Dylan is going to be just fine. After a few weeks of rest and recovery he’ll be back up and running to finish our adventure together. All the best.”
There are conflicting reports on what exactly happened on set. Some believe that Dylan was run over by a car, there are others saying he fell off a piece of set that was acting as a back of a train. Either way, Dylan was sent to the hospital and is said to be recovering.
Our thoughts are with Dylan and his friends and family and, hopefully, Dylan has a speedy recovery.
