Production Begins on Freeform’s New Series, Dead of Summer
Production has begun on Freeform’s new series, Dead Summer. Created by Once Upon a Time’s Adam Horowitz, Edward Kitsis and Ian Goldberg, the show began production today, March 21 in Vancvouer.
“Set in the late 1980s, school is out for the summer, and a sun-drenched season of firsts beckons the counselors at Camp Stillwater, a seemingly idyllic Midwestern summer camp, including first loves, first kisses—and first kills. Stillwater’s dark, ancient mythology awakens, and what was supposed to be a summer of fun soon turns into one of unforgettable scares and evil at every turn.”
The show stars Elizabeth Mitchell (“Lost,” ”The Purge: Election Year”), Elizabeth Lail (“Once Upon a Time”), Zelda Williams (“Teen Wolf”), Mark Indelicato (“Ugly Betty”), Alberto Frezza (“Charlie’s Angels”), Eli Goree (“The 100”), Ronen Rubinstein (“Orange Is the New Black”), Amber Coney (“Class”) and Paulina Singer (“Gotham”).
