Selena Gomez Set To Develop New Lifetime Series Based On Her Own Life
Selena Gomez is set to develop her own autobiographical drama series for Lifetime. The channel announced the news earlier today, April 20, during their Upfront presentation.
According to Deadline, Selena will be the executive producer on a series that “…draws from the young actress’ experience navigating a career in Hollywood as seen through the eyes of her friends who quickly become her most trusted inner circle.”
The site goes on to say that “the drama, which draws parallels to the HBO comedy Entourage, inspired by executive producer Mark Wahlberg’s life as a young Hollywood actor surrounded by his close friends, is also executive produced by Mandy Teefey, Samantha Droke and Troy Searer for A+E Studios and Trigger Street.”
A writer is currently being sought after for the series, but Lifetime hopes to have production underway on the series later this year.
Well this is definitely an interesting idea.
