Yara Shahidi Signs A Modeling Contract With Women Management

Yara Shahidi can add a new job to her resume. It was announced earlier this week that the young actress has signed a modeling contract with New York’s Women Management.

Yara spoke up about the amazing news and what this means to her in a recent interview with Vogue. She stated, “It’s important to see yourself in media. The visuals we’re presented with allow us to understand that things are attainable…[Representation] is equally important within the modeling industry.

We live with those ads, we follow the careers of our favorite models and support them because these images become a part of our culture. If I can add one more voice to the conversation, one more face to the spectrum, then I’ve accomplished something.”

No word has been released on when we can expect gigs from her, but I do know that we are in for something amazing!
