The teaser trailer for Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast was released today, May 23, and although there was little footage, the trailer still was able to find ways to get fans excited about the magical re-telling.

The music used in the trailer is really where all the nostalgia lied and was one of the things that got fans excited. The first notes heard when the trailer begins is the prologue music that opened the animated movie. Just those few notes were enough to bring fans to chills and to flash them back to animated movie’s release date in 1991. If that wasn’t enough, the trailer ended with notes from Beauty and the Beast’s most iconic song “Beauty and the Beast”.

The second thing it did was it included dialogue from the original movie. Ewan McGregor (Luminere) and Ian McKellan (Cogsworth) can be heard saying off screen,
Lumiere: “Look a girl!”
Cosgworth: “Yes, I can see it’s a girl, you fool”
Though McGregor’s accent was a little far-fetched, the lines were still able to tug at the heartstrings of every Beauty and the Beast fan.

The last thing was the moment where Belle (Emma Watson) is shown looking at the rose. Obviously, the rose plays a vital part in the movie, but what really excited fans was the fact that the trailer gave them their first look at the character.

Due out, March 17, 2017, Emma pays Belle, a young girl who doesn’t seem to fit into her small hometown. This bookworm, who wants so much more than her provincial life, will get the adventure of a lifetime when she comes upon a castle filled with talking inanimate objects and a lost beast.

We have also added screencaps from the trailer below. What did you guys think of the trailer? Did it get you excited?
