The girls of Fifth Harmony sat down with USA Today to talk about their new album, 7/27. The album is slated to be released this coming Friday, May 27.

In the interview the girls talk the album, why they chose the title to be 7/27, social media and so much more. Highlights can be found below.

On the new album: [Normani] “Before, it was trial and error, coming off the show. We didn’t know what our sound was gonna be. Now, it’s a new era, and it’s a new time for us. [Ally[ Our last album was more high-energy and girl power, fun, feeling confident and sexy, but you didn’t really get to see the other side of us. So that’s something that we’re excited to incorporate.”

On why they chose 7/27 as their album title:[Lauren] “We decided to reincarnate the date, because this album is sort of a rebirth of Fifth Harmony,”

On social media: [Camila] “People on social media, because they see so much of you, they feel like they own you, like you’re they’re property. I’ve gotten tweets before that are like ‘Go back to where you belong.’ I’m like, ‘Where do I belong?’”
