Take a Look Inside the Opening Celebration of Shanghai Disney Resort w/ Sofia Carson

Sofia Carson will be narrating the special telecast of the Grand Opening Celebration of Shanghai Disney Resort. The telecast will air on Disney Channel, Disney XD and Disney Junior on June 16.

During the telecast, “World-renowned pianist Lang Lang will perform a custom arrangement of the musical sensation “Let It Go” (Disney’s “Frozen”) and China’s television and movie superstar Sun Li will take center stage. Each is a Shanghai Disney Resort Honorary Ambassador.”

The Shanghai Symphony will also be performing iconic Disney songs during the special including “Once Upon a Dream,” “Heigh Ho” and “Some Day My Prince will Come.” They will also debut a brand new song, written for the grand opening, called “Ignite the Dreamer Within”

The telecast will reair on Freeform on June 17, just incase you can’t make it on Thursday. The resort looks absolutely gorgeous. Also, the castle is not based off any of the character’s castle like other parks but instead has its own name, “The Enchanted Storybook Castle.”
