Supergirl has Found its Superman in Tyler Hoechlin

Supergirl has found its Superman. Tyler Hoechlin will be donning the red cape in the upcoming second season of the new CW show.

EW is reporting, “Hoechlin will appear as Clark Kent, a.k.a. Superman, in the first two episodes of the new season, visiting his cousin Kara (Melissa Benoist) in National City.”

This will be the first physical time Clark Kent has made an appearance on the show. In season 1 his appearances were only shown via online conversations with Kara (Melissa Benoist).

I was really pulling for a Tom Welling casting, but if it couldn’t be Tom I am glad it is Tyler! Filming on the second season will begin in Vancouver at the end of July.
