BeautifulBallad Ranks All 17 Pixar Films

pix

In honor of the release of Pixar’s 17th film, Finding Dory we have ranked our favorite Pixar films!

Going into it we thought that it would be pretty easy; however, we were very wrong. Pixar is extremely good at creating original and fun masterpieces that manage to leave a lasting impression. Trying to narrow down a specific position for each movie was easier said than done and this list will likely change as the years go on.

You will find our full list under the jump. Let us know in the comments or on any of our social media outlets which Pixar movies are your favorite and make sure to see Finding Dory in theaters now!

17. Cars 2
-For us it didn’t live up to its predecessor. The first one was so good and this one was very much a let down.

16. A Bug’s Life
-We don’t do bugs. Good story, but bugs are not our thing.

15. Brave
– We wanted to like this movie so badly. The first Pixar princess, the first female led Pixar film, and it didn’t live up to the hype. The characters had such potential, but the storyline was pretty lacking.

14.The Good Dinosaur
– It was cute and the animation was fantastic, but we weren’t in love with it.

13. Wall-E
-This one had its hits and misses. Biggest hit was Pixar created a film with very little dialogue, biggest miss was it had very little dialogue.

12.Inside Out
Inside Out was fun, but it was bit too heavy at times. Also, one of our writers has some pretty negative feelings towards Sadness so this skewed it higher on the list.

11.Finding Dory
-As we said with Cars 2 it did not live up to its predecessor; however, unlike Cars 2, this sequel was very funny and it had a fantastic cast.

10. Ratatouille
– Such an original tale with adorable characters. Who doesn’t love Remy!

9. Cars
-Another fun and original piece. The humor is pretty spot on and the scenery is mindblowing.

8.Toy Story 3
– Sequels are hard enough to make good, but a triquel is evern harder. Toy Sory 3 is just as fun as it’s two predecessors and felt like the perfect way to cap off the trilogy.

7. Monsters Inc.
-Such a fun ride and a nice spin on the classic monsters under the bed belief.

6. Finding Nemo
– Honestly, one of the most quotable Pixar films and one of the most beautiful. Hysterical, entertaining and joyous.

5. Monsters University
-Who doesn’t love little Mike Wazowski? It’s not often a prequel surpasses the original but the college theme mixed with learning the backstory of how Mike and Sully’s friendship began was incredible.

4. Toy Story
-The one that started it all. It was hard not to put this one in the #1 spot because it was the first Pixar film and it featured toys coming to life. We cannot tell you how many times we ran into our rooms after seeing this movie hoping our toys had come alive. Buzz, Woody, and the whole gang claimed pieces of our hearts with this film.

3. Up
-“Its a talking dog”, “Hi my name is Doug”, “I hid underneath your porch because I love you”, “With the GPS navigator we’ll never get lost…oops” and the most emotional opening in Pixas history all add up to one great and emotional movie.

2.Toy Story 2
-Trying to decide which Toy Story movie to rank the highest was literally one of the hardest things we had to do when it came to this ranking, but we believe we made the right choice. The addition of Woody’s roundup gang and the two Buzzs had Toy Story 2 inching out the other movies in the franchise.

1. The Incredibles
– This is the film that made me never doubt the potential of Pixar. It is such a wonderful family film with amazing characters, excellent lines, and a great story. Now if only they would release its sequel!
