Disney Channel aired its 100th Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM), Adventures in Babysitting last night, June 24. In honor of its release, we have picked our top 5 favorite DCOMs, let us know in the comments yours!

Jett Jackson: The Movie-It was the first Disney Channel Original Movie to be based on a Disney Channel Original Series and it is action packed with a fun story. Lee Thompson Young stars at the titular Jett Jackson, a young actor who switches places with his TV alter-ego after a freak accident on set. It’s up to the real Jett to save the day while his TV character must take on school!

Luck of the Irish– On paper the idea of a young man becoming a Leprechaun after his lucky gold coin is stolen then prompting him to win it back sounds ludicrous. Its execution though is a heartwarming tale of a young man (Ryan Merriman) tasked with saving his family and reuniting his loved ones. Plus, Ryan Merriman was SO cute.

Zenon Girl of the 21st Century– Cetus lapetus! Zenon was the first DCOM to not only create its own world but it created several quotable catch phrases. Starring Kirsten Storms and Raven as two 21st century girls living on a space station until Zenon (Storms) is sent to Earth as punishment for acting out at school. There she learns of a nefarious plot to take down her family’s space station, it’s up to her and her friends to save the space station and her family! It’s also the first DCOM to get a sequel and eventually a third film!

Teen Beach Movie– Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell star in this musical which is essentially a throwback to the Beach Party days of the 1960s. Filled with catchy songs, eye-catching dances movies, and zany characters, this DCOM brought the musical joy reminiscent of High School Musical to a new generation.

High School Musical 2– The highest rated DCOM premiere ever could not be left off the list. While it is its predecessor High School Musical that made DCOMs interesting again, this is the one that fueled a cultural phenomenon. A bigger budget, better songs, and perfect summer setting of a ritzy country club where the whole gang works and plays makes it potentially the best DCOM ever. Zac Efron, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens and more launched their careers based on this franchise and it only makes sense that the next installment premiered in theaters!
