Demi Lovato is on the cover of ELLE Canada. The star is on the cover of the magazine’s upcoming September issue.

In the issue, Demi talks honesty with her fans, her accolades, being compared to Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez, and so much more. Highlights can be found below.

On honesty with her fans: “Honesty gives me a way to relate to my fans. If I’m not honest, then I can’t open up to them and they can’t relate to me at all. I try to inspire people by saying ‘If I can go through that, you can go through that.”

On being compared to Miley and Selena:  “I’m me. I’m not anybody but myself, and I wish people would stop comparing me to others.”
