Highlights from the Power Rangers Interview at San Diego Comic Con

The cast of the Power Rangers movie attended San Diego Comic Con today, July 21. Becky G, Naomi Scott, Dacre Montgomery, RJ Cyler and Ludi Lin visited Nerdist’s Camp Conival to talk about their upcoming movie during their visit to the Con.

Director Dean Israelite was also in attendance to shed some light on the reboot. During the panel at Camp Conival, Israelite talked the tone of the movie saying it will surprise and bring joy to the fans. He also revealed that the movie would focus on teenagers going through their own personal struggles, who also have to deal with a bad guy trying to take over the world.

The cast talked working with Elizabeth Banks, who plays Rita Repulsa in the movie. Becky told the audience that when acting alongside Elizabeth everything felt so real, while Dacre said that having the chance to work with her inspired him.

Fans of the original series, they did reveal a little information you will enjoy. Alpha 5 will be in the movie and the theme song will also appear in it. Israelite said that music is a key part in this movie, so we will have to see how the theme song comes into play.

I was a little disappointed that we didn’t get to see any footage from the new movie. Fingers crossed something is released soon.
