Filming Begins on Supergirl Season 2

Filming began on Season 2 of Supergirl yesterday, July 26 in Vancouver. Mehcad Brooks posted the first photo from set, which featured his and costar, Melissa Benoist’s set chairs.

Entitled, “The Adventures of Supergirl”, the new season is set to premiere on the CW in October. Tyler Hoechlin has joined the cast as Superman, while Ian Gomez will play Kara’s new boss Snapper Carr and Floriana Lima will play Maggie Sawyer.

Melissa was spotted leaving her trailer today, July 26 with her puppy. The star can be seen rocking a couple of different outfits including her Supergirl suit. You can check out photos of her on our Tumblr.

I also hope they enjoy filming in Vancouver. It is not the same as Los Angeles, but it is really pretty and a lot of the other DC TV stars are up there, so they are not alone.
