Renew Girls Meets World for Season 4
Girl Meets World completed the Season 3 finale episode earlier this week. The episode features a number of guest appearances from Boy Meets World alumni and seems like it was an emotional night for all.
Season finales are always a bit heavy but this episode is especially so as it could also be the potential series finale. Disney Channel has yet to announce if the show will be renewed for a fourth season, leaving the talent and fans pondering the show’s fate.
In case it is not renewed, the episode apparently wraps several questions fans may have. If renewed, the episode allows for the fourth season to focus solely on the core Girl Meets World characters and fans will see less of the Boy Meets World characters according to creator Marc Jacobs.
Fans are hopeful the show will be renewed and we here at BeautifulBallad think it definitely
should. The show is one of the top-rated shows on the network and it creates quite the social media buzz, as well.
Disney is known for generally keeping their shows around for three or four seasons. We can only hope the network will renew the show, even if only for one more season. If they don’t renew the show, the cast and crew could always opt to shop the show around to other networks (we wouldn’t mind seeing it on Disney Channel’s sister network Freeform).
With a move to Freeform, the show would have the chance to touch on more sensitive subjects especially now that the characters are in high school. The premise will then be more similar to that of Boy Meets World as it can talk about things that every day highschoolers are going through.
While the show has found a nice home on Disney Channel part of Boy Meets World charm was its ability to tackle both adult and kid issues. Finding a new home for GMW might make that a more real possibility.
No matter what hopefully Disney makes an announcement soon. It would be a shame if they couldn’t find a way to keep it on the air. Let us know what you think by taking our poll below.
