Dove Cameron and Garrett Clayton Join the Cast of Hairspray Live

Dove Cameron and Garrett Clayton have joined the cast of Hairspray Live! Dove will play Amber Von Tussle, while Garrett will play Link Larkin.

The duo join already announced Harvey Fierstein, Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande, Kristin Chenoweth, Martin Short, Derek Hough and exciting newcomer Maddie Baillio. This will be a reunion for Kristen and Dove as they played mother and daughter in the hit Disney Channel movie, Descendants.

Tomorrow, August 2 some of the cast is set to attend the NBC TCA Press Day in Los Angeles. No word on if Dove and Garrett will be there, but we will keep you updated.

Hairspray Live will go live on NBC on Wednesday, December 7! Ahh such great casting choices! I can’t wait to see what these two in the show.
