Cast of Hairspray Live Holds First Table Read

The cast of Hairspray Live held their first table read yesterday, August 1. Ariana Grande, Dove Cameron, Garrett Clayton and more all come together in Los Angeles to begin work on the live show.

Taking place on December 7, Dove and Garrett’s castings were announced yesterday by NBC. Ariana is set to play Penny, Dove is set to play Amber and Garrett is set to play Link in a star studded cast that includes Harvey Fierstein, Jennifer Hudson, and Kristin Chenoweth. Maddie Baillio will be playing the lead, Tracy Turnblad.

I really hope these guys release a lot of behind the scenes photos and videos from their rehearsals! Fingers are crossed.
