Cast of Shadowhunters Hold Season 2 Table Read Amid Departure of Showrunner

The cast of Shadowhunters held their first table read for Season 2 yesterday, August 4 in Toronto. Katherine McNamara, Dominic Sherwood, Matthew Daddario, Harry Shum Jr., Alberto Rosende and Emeraude Tobuia were all on hand to read through the first script of the season.

Yesterday, it was also announced that Season 1 showrunner, Eric Decter would not be returning for the second season. Apparently his leaving has to do with creative differences and another showrunner will be announced soon. His departure will not delay production. It is still set to begin this Monday, August 8.

I can’t believe they begin filming the new season next week! I can’t wait!
