Yara Shahidi Attends ComEd Icebox Derby
Yara Shahidi attended the ComEd Icebox derby today, August 13 in Chicago. The derby brings 30 female STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) students to compete for the STEM cup and scholarship opportunities.
Yara, an advocate for STEM, was at the race to speak to the attendees and to cheer on those taking part in the race. Yara flew into Chicago yesterday, August 12, after spending the week in Los Angeles filming a new episode of her hit ABC show, black-ish.
What a great event to support and speak at! I hope she had fun!
