Dylan O’Brien Begins Training for American Assassin Role

Dylan O’Brien has begun training for his next role. The actor, who was injured earlier this year on the set of Maze Runner: The Death Cure, has begun training to play Mitch in American Assassin.

CBS confirmed to a fan via Twitter that Dylan was 100% confirmed to be playing the role and he is currently in the midst of training for it. Dylan will be joined in the movie by Taylor Kitsch and Michael Keaton.

American Assassin is based on Vince Flynn’s best-selling book series, which follows Mitch Rapp, an Arab linguistics student who joins the CIA as an assassin after his girlfriend is killed in a terrorist attack.

Keaton will play his mentor and Kitsch will play the villain. Filming is set to begin this September in London and Budapest.

I’m so glad that he is back up and working! He has been down for the count since March, so it is nice to see he is getting back to work.
