Zendaya Playing Mary Jane Watson in Spider-Man: Homecoming

It looks like Zendaya may be indeed playing Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming movie. The Wrap is confirming from sources close to the project that Zendaya will be playing the iconic Spider-Man character.

When it was first announced that Zendaya would be starring in the movie her role was kept a secret. It was then announced that she would be playing a character named Michelle and now it seems this Michelle is really Mary Jane Watson.

Fans have been speculating for a while that Marvel released the name Michelle in order to hide the fact that Zendaya was indeed playing Mary Jane. However until the studio confirms the news I would take this with a grain of salt.
