On why she chose to be an actress: “I never have a fun answer to the question of how I decided to become an actress. I never had that ‘aha!’ moment. It was just always what I wanted to do.”

On working with Richard Linklater on Everybody Wants Some!!: “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, working with Rick was the most influential experience of my professional life. I was working with 12 guys with full wigs and muttonchops and short shorts.”

On her style: “My favorite pastime is going to estate sales and finding strange jewelry. I shop at thrift stores like Goodwill and places like that. Other than that, my go-to stores are Rachel Comey and Opening Ceremony.”
