Find Out How & Why Supergirl is Recruited for the DC TV Crossover
Today, October 18, Arrow executive producer Marc Guggenheim revealed even more details surrounding the upcoming DC TV crossover. Earlier this month, we found out that Barry would be the one recruiting the heroes to take on the Dominators and now we know how abd why he comes about recruiting Supergirl.
Since Supergirl does not live on the same Earth as our Arrowverse heroes, there were many questions being asked regarding how she gets to the Arrowverse Earth and why they need the Kryptonian, Guggenheim revealed answers to both these questions saying, “Once the heroes realize that they’re up against aliens, they decide that they need an alien on their side. Fortunately, Barry knows a really nice one. I don’t think it’s a big shock that between Barry and Cisco, and all their experiences with Earth-2 and the multi-verse, that they can pluck her from Earth-CBS.”
The executive producer also revealed that the crossover kicks off at the end of a Supergirl episode with Barry and Cisco asking for Kara’s help. It will then pick up speed in The Flash and Arrow and come to an end in Legends of Tomorrow, so technically it is a three show crossover with the addition of Melissa Benoist.
The crossover will air on the CW at the end of November/beginning of December. I really wish they could’ve found a way for more of the Supergirl stars to appear in the crossover. I would have loved to have seen Winn with Cisco and Felicity.
