Lea Michele to Star in Untitled ABC Pilot

Lea Michele has landed a new role. The star has joined Brandon Micheal Hall in ABC’s untitled City Mayor comedy pilot.

Deadline is reporting, “the City Mayor pilot centers on Courtney Rose (Hall), a struggling hip-hop artist who runs for mayor to promote his mixtape — and wins.” No word on who she will be playing, but I can only assume her character will be singing in the show.

In regards to her role on Scream Queens, she apparently was let out of her contract to take this role. With Scream Queens future still in limbo, it would make sense Lea would want to find other roles.
