Sabrina: The Teenage Witch Is Coming To The CW With Riverdale Spinoff Titled The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

The CW and the WB have finally confirmed a Sabrina: The Teenage Witch/Riverdale! The two powerhouses are currently in development on The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which will air on The CW during the 2018-2019 season.

According to EW, “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina reimagines the origin and adventures of Sabrina the Teenage Witch as a dark coming-of-age story that traffics in horror, the occult, and — of course — witchcraft. Tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist, this adaptation finds Sabrina wrestling to reconcile her dual nature — half-witch, half-mortal — while standing against the evil forces that threaten her, her family and the daylight world humans inhabit.”

No word has been released on whether or not Sabrina will be making an appearance during the upcoming season of Riverdale or if they will air a backdoor pilot during Riverdale. However, with executive producer Robert Aguirre-Sacasa remaining tight-lipped on the topic, it may be possible.
