Demi Lovato is on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter. The singer is on the cover of the magazine’s October 4 issue.

In the issue, Demi talks her upcoming documentary, Demi Lovato: Simply Complicated, joining the new YouTube series, Best Cover Ever and so much more. Highlights can be found below.

On her new documentary: “I hope fans get to see a lighter side of me. It’s something that I haven’t shown before. I like to think I’m funny, and I’d like to think that I have positive energy.”

On being a part of Best Cover Ever: “I used to [sing] covers as a kid. I used to sing to Kelly Clarkson and Christina Aguilera and Aretha Franklin. Those songs became such an important part of my life, and now I get to be that for other people.”
