Lili Reinhart Discusses Betty/Veronica & Season Two Of Riverdale In New Interview

Lili Reinhart recently opened up about season two of Riverdale in a new interview. Lili will be reprising her role as Betty Cooper on the hit CW show. Highlights are below.

On Betty and Veronica’s friendship in season two: “Well, with any friendship there’s gonna be fights. Season one wasn’t too focused on Betty and Veronica and their relationship. It was a little bit more about the murder mystery. In season two, we see a little bit more into their friendship and their relationship, the good parts and the bad parts. And at the end of the day, when it comes to Betty and Veronica fighting, you have these two women who are so opposite in a lot of different ways. The nature of that causes quarreling sometimes. They’re never, I don’t think, ever going to hate each other. They’re never going to be frenemies, or have cat fights all the time, and, especially not over a guy. There are going to be fights and challenges that come their way. But they overcome it, because they’re Betty and Veronica. And, they’re invincible.”

On what fans can expect from the new season: “Season two, something to really look forward to, is the beauty of Riverdale itself. We have a new cinematographer, and we’re putting a lot of hard work and attention into how our show looks. It’s just absolutely stunning. The way that the episodes are being edited together, and they way that they’re being shot is just so aesthetically beautiful and pleasing. People are going to be blown away. I’m really excited for people to see the revamped aesthetic of our show.”
