Taylor Swift is one of TIME‘s “Person of the Year”. The magazine announced the news earlier today, December 6, along with the names of Rose McGowan, Ashley Judd, and Terry Crews.
TIME magazine titled this year’s group as “The Silence Breakers” because each of them in some way shape or form have come forward to tell/defend their story of sexual harassment. Taylor spoke about her own experience with sexual harassment and her recent court case over it.
She stated, “I figured that if he would be brazen enough to assault me under these risky circumstances, imagine what he might do to a vulnerable, young artist if given the chance. When I testified, I had already had to watch this Man’s attorney bully, badger, and harass my team, including my mother…I was angry.”
