The Phoenix Rises as Sophie Turner Covers EW for X-Men: Dark Phoenix

Sophie Turner is on the cover of Entertainment Weekly! The young actress is on the cover of EW’s “First Look” issue giving fans the first look at her character in X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

The film will take place in 1992 and will see the Jean Grey and the X-Men attempting to prevent the phoenix spirit from taking over Jean before it is too late.Sophie reprises the role of Jean Grey in the X-Men movie and, as you can see from the cover photo, Jean’s phoenix spirit is trying to take over the telepath just like how it will in the movie.

I really hope they do this storyline justice. They attempted to tell the story in X-Men: The Last Stand, but they really couldn’t pull it off.

The movie opens in theaters on November 2.
