Melissa Benoist Attends Paramount Network’s Winter TCA Event
Melissa Benoist attended the Paramount Network portion of the 2018 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour today, Janaury 15 in Los Angeles. Melissa was at the TCA event to promote her new miniseries, Waco, alongside her cast and crew.
During their panel, Melissa was asked about the firing of Andrew Kreisberg from the Supergirl and how has the showed changed since his firing. Melissa told reporters, “I do have to say the way our show has recovered as a cast and a crew together, we have an atmosphere on set now that I’m extremely proud of. There are a lot of amazing men that work on our show and a lot of amazing women that are in big powerful positions on our show as well. Now one of our co-showrunners is a female, and we have executive producer Sarah Schechter. We are all in the fight for equality and safer atmospheres in the work space.”
Kreisberg was fired last Fall after allegations of sexual harassment came to light. New episodes of Supergirl are airing Monday nights on the CW and Waco will premiere on the Paramount Network on January 24!
