Disney Channel Gives The Green Light To New Series Fast Layne

Disney Channel has green lighted a brand new live action series. The channel announced today, March 9, that Fast Layne will be joining the lineup as a limited series with production underway now.

Sophie Pollono will be playing the lead role of Layne, whose orderly life is “thrown into a tailspin when she discovers a sophisticated talking car named V.I.N. hidden in an abandoned shed. With the help of her eccentric neighbor, Zora (Sofia Rosinsky), Layne embarks on a high-speed adventure filled with bad guys, secret agents and other surprises to unlock the mystery behind V.I.N.’s creation.”

Joining Sophie will be Brandon Rossel and Winslow Fegley. Rossel will “…play Cody, a cute boy at Layne’s school with a talent for fixing cars” while Fegley will play “…Mel, Layne’s nosy younger cousin who is determined to uncover her secret.” Disney Channel hopes to have the show out later this year.
