Advance Preview: The Shadowhunters Are In For Quite The Battle With The Queen Of Death In Season Three Premiere

The season three premiere of Shadowhunters is set to premiere tonight, March 20 on Freeform and fans of the series are in for a treat.

The episode kicks off after the events of the season two finale with Clary becoming a full Shadowhunter. As the episode progresses fans are introduced to the Queen of the Dead, Lilith, who begins to terrorize Brooklyn in order to bring back her son, Sebastian. The Shadowhunters and Luke team up to stop the first, of what should be many, servants to the Queen before it is too late.

The episode does a nice job of setting up the struggles our characters will be facing this season. For example, Jace’s inner turmoil with Sebastian is a tad bit predictable, but moves the story along, while Magus and Alec’s relationship hits a roadblock that will most likely span the season. There is a lack of Simon in that episode and Izzy is greatly underused, but hopefully that will change as the season progresses.

On a more positive note, Lilith will be an interesting antagonist for our characters. In a mere matter of minutes, she showcases just how dangerous she is and what she will do in order to bring Sebastian back to the living.

All in all, the episode is sprinkled with wonderful and emotional moments that will pull at the heartstrings while also delivering an intense and wild ride. Make sure to let us know what you think after you watch the premiere tonight.
