BB Exclusive: Carter Jenkin’s Talks Last Night’s Explosive Episode of Famous in Love
Last night, April 11, Famous in Love aired a brand new episode, which was a big episode for Carter Jenkins’ character, Rainer.
We had the chance to chat with him about the episode, Rainer’s reaction to the news, what’s to come for Rainer and so much more.
Were you surprised with how Rainer reacted to the news after reading the script?
“Yeah, I thought it was great the way they handled it. At first he is in a state of shock and then you see him in the next stage, which is like a disbelief and then you see him go through all the stages. I also just love how he goes back, you know the show must go on, he goes back to filming. Sometimes you just try to use it and you can’t, but then with the help of Paige he finds a way.”
With all this pent up frustration, will we see Rainer finally blow?
“Yeah, I mean you got to let it out. Actually, I think in Episode 4, oh, gosh, four is cool, he’s got all these self-help ideas he had coming from Rehab and he’s telling himself he’s OK. He’s trying to convince himself that he can handle this, but, it all comes out in Episode 4.”

How will this affect his relationship with his parents?
“I think with his dad, I think it’s sort of a neutral thing. He sort of remains neutral, but him and Nina have a lot to work through and that’s not something that happens quickly.”
Will Nina and Rainer’s reconciliation be the main focus this season?
“Yeah, that is sort of a running thing throughout the season. It’s not something you just smooth over quickly. It might take years. I mean it might take maybe, maybe forever, some kids don’t ever talk to their parents again.”
What is his relationship with Jordan going to be like now that the cat is out of the bag?
“There’s a lot there and he’s been betrayed and in the worst way, but at the same time him and Jordan , they’re like brothers because it goes back a long time. They’ve been there for each other and like brothers do in real life. You know, you can do and say the worse things to each other, but that bond still finds a way to override. So I do think it’s something that they can, with time and understanding, work through.”
How does this news affect the shooting of Locked?
“As you saw in Episode 3, you might have expected Rainer to storm off set and never return, but he has that actor instinct, which is to put it into the work. The filming of Locked has been rocky throughout the whole production and so I think that continues.”
