The Cast Of Andi Mack Honored At The Television Academy Honors
The cast of Andi Mack attended the 11th annual Television Academy Honors last night, May 31, in Los Angeles. The cast was at the ceremony as one of the Television Academy’s honorees.
Andi Mack was chosen as an honoree this year for being the first Disney Channel show to have an openly gay character. For those who don’t know, Andi Mack spent an entire arc on the revelation that Joshua Rush’s character Cyrus was gay and how the characters dealt with the revelation. It was truly a step in the right direction for Disney and really well done.
Congrats to a much deserved award!
