Details Released on Game Of Thrones Prequel Ordered by HBO

HBO has given the go ahead on a Game of Thrones prequel. This one will take place thousands of years before the hit HBO show began and it will be created by writer Jane Goldman and Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin.

In the series, “Taking place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: From the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East, to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know.”

No word on if the show will lead up to The Longest Night talked about the GoT, but it will most likely be featured in the series. I also love that a female is going to be one of the showrunners. It will be interesting to see her take on the series compared to David Benioff and DB Weiss.
