The Cast of Riverdale Take Over Hall H at SDCC

Today, July 22, the cast of Riverdale headed to San Diego Comic Con to promote their upcoming third season. The entire cast of kids and adults invaded Hall H for their first ever panel in the iconic hall.

During the panel, the gang talked about how Jughead’s mom and Jellybean will be introduced around Episode 8, the Farm will be a main focus for Betty this season, struggles for Varchie, conflict between Toni and Josie, Casey and Ashleigh singing together this season, a flashback to the parents’ days at Riverdale High and so much more.

It was announced after the panel that “Penelope Ann Miller (The Artist, Carlito’s Way) will play the character of the district attorney, Ms. Wright. At the end of season two, Archie Andrews was framed by Hiram Lodge for the murder of a Shadow Lake resident named Cassidy.

The savvy, eloquent Ms. Wright is the prosecuting attorney in charge of handling Archie’s case. With a conviction in mind, she will weave together disparate moments of Archie’s young life to portray him as a dangerous, violent sociopath who is capable of committing a heinous crime. His freedom will hang in the balance when the series returns to The CW for its third season on October 10 (Wednesdays 8/7c).”

Fun fact about the flashback, the kids will be playing their parents. I am so excited to see how this unfolds.
