The Cast of Shadowhunters Say Goodbye
“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” – Winnie the Pooh. Truly, #Shadowhunters has been an angelic blessing. Playing Clary is an honor that has taught me more than I can express. She is strong, courageous, compassionate, badass, and broken, and I love every little imperfect piece of her. She will always be a part of me and I’d like to think I left a little part of me with her. Beyond that, the family created from the cast and crew, to the writers and producers, to you angels is something to be cherished. Being a part of a story that resonates for so many people and has a real positive influence on their lives is a rare gift and privilege that I will forever treasure. We have been breathing rarified air here in the Shadow World, whether or not we knew it. This experience is lightning in a bottle and I will spend the rest of my life trying to find it again. However, if you take anything with you from this, take this: the story doesn’t end here. It lives on and continues in all of us as we carry on the #ShadowhuntersLegacy as a group of people who stand for acceptance, love, and unity. Hail and farewell, angels. All my love . You know what they say… when one door closes… 🖤⚔️✨

The cast of Shadowhunters wrapped their final episode and shared a number of sweet messages on their final day. Katherine McNamara, Harry Shum Jr., and Emeraude Toubia were just some of the stars who took to their social media to share their thanks and heartfelt goodbyes as they said goodbye to the hit Freeform show.
The show is currently on hiatus but will return in 2019 with the final 3B season. I am unsure how they will wrap the final season as this cancellation came as a surprise to many, but knowing the writers and producers the show will go out with a bang.
My heart can’t handle these goodbyes!
As I sit here and attempt to process the past 3 years, 3 seasons, 55 episodes, 400+ days of work (don’t trust my math here), I can’t help but become inundated with emotions and memories. Our time over the past 3 Seasons can be considered an odyssey but now looking back it feels more like a dream, an epic story that happened in my mind where the protagonist, this skinny, wide eyed, college graduate went from being this scrappy kid from Brooklyn to a confident, self assured, Daylighter. All of us, the cast, the crew, production, the writers room and all of you fans should be SO proud of everything we’ve done together. We have created a wonderful world full of fantastical beauty and love! We fought together, we cried together and most importantly, we loved together. My hopes are very high looking ahead at the legacy of Shadowhunters. I am very proud to have been your Simon Lewis. I am very proud to be a part of our giant family. I am very proud of each of you who continue to fight for love and make this world a better place. Keep questioning. Keep learning. Keep being curious. Keep being positive forces for change in your communities around the world! I love you all! Simon Lewis…that’s a wrap! #shadowhunterslegacy #shadowhuntersfamily #thanksforthememories #toinfinityandbeyond
