Taylor Swift paid tribute to Aretha Franklin last night, August 28 in Detroit. The singer took a moment during her reputation tour stop in the city to share her feelings regarding the Queen of Soul’s passing and to hold a moment in silence for her.

Aretha was an amazing woman who was an incredible inspiration for some many women, not just women in music. She will be sorely missed, but her memory will always live on in her music.
