On moving to Los Angeles: “I moved across the country to become an actor, not an academic type. I know myself, I’m not gonna be a mathematician or a professor.”

On meetings before his Netflix rom-coms released: “I was taking two to three meetings every single day. I’m sitting down in a room with people who don’t know me,” he says. “They just were like, ‘So, where you from?’ And I was like, ‘F***in’ Florida, man. Where are you from?'”
