REVIEW: Emily Osment and Ryan Rottman Shine in Christmas Wonderland

Hallmark Movies and Mysteries airs their brand new Holiday movie, Christmas Wonderland, tonight, December 1. Starring Emily Osment and Ryan Rottman, this is definitely one of the more enjoyable Holiday movies this season.

Emily plays Heidi, a small town girl who moved to New York City to pursue her dream of becoming a painter. However, she puts her dreams on hold when she begins work at an art gallery. Years later, she returns to her hometown of Pleasant Valley, Pennsylvania to watch her nephew, Tom and niece, Katie while their parents attend a National Real Estate convention. Heidi soon runs into her former boyfriend, Chris (Rottman) and begins to fall back in love with her art, the small town she left behind and perhaps even the man she never quite got over..

Emily and Ryan are fantastic as Heidi and Chris. Their chemistry is so enjoyable that a sequel would be appreciated when all is said and done. Emily’s natural ease in front of the camera and Ryan’s charm make a fairly typical storyline more entertaining than it should be. Heidi’s nephew and niece played by Jacob Buster and Trinity Roberts are fun to watch especially when paired with Emily. She is delightful with the children and the joy increases tenfold when Ryan is added to the mix.

An added bonus is a song featured in the movie written and performed by Emily. The song “Honey Heartbreaker” is incorporated into the movie in a very important scene. The whole soundtrack to this film is a welcome addition and adds in much appreciated holiday magic.

Christmas Wonderland is everything you could want in a Holiday movie. We highly suggest tuning in for the premiere tonight. It is the perfect Holiday movie to cuddle up on the couch and drink a big cup of hot cocoa.
