Yara Shahidi helped light the Empire State Building in New York City yesterday, March 8. The young actress was on hand to light the iconic landmark to honor Barbie’s 60th Anniversary and International Women’s Day.

Yara had something else exciting happen to her yesterday at the event. Yara met her Barbie doll for the very first time. The doll company created a Barbie after Yara as part of their “Sheroes” dolls, which feature inspiring women from across the globe.
