Rowan Blanchard Lands Role In New TNT Series Snowpiercer
Rowan Blanchard has landed a new role. The young actress is set to star in the new TNT series, Snowpiercer. Based on the 2013 movie of the same name, Rowan is set to star alongside Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs.
According to Deadline, “Snowpiercer is set seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, It centers on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a gigantic, perpetually-moving train that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival are questioned in this riveting television adaptation.
Blanchard will play Alexandra, a self-assured 17-year-old, wise beyond her years, with mysterious connections to the history of Snowpiercer.” At this moment, Rowan is only set to be a guest star on the series. However, if the show is picked up for a season 2, she will be bumped up to a series regular.
