Emily Bett Rickards will be departing Arrow at the end of this season. The actress took to her Instagram to announce that she will not be returning for Arrow’s eighth and final season.

The star started out on the series in a minor guest role, but quickly became a fan favorite by the end of the first season. She was added on as a series regular in the show’s second season and remained a major staple to the show for the next 5 seasons.

We are not 100% sure what this means for the character and Olicity at the end of this season, but I am really hoping they don’t decide to kill her off. Find another way to send her off writers! She deserves more than a death.
